WGST’s aim is to list, rank, and discuss the world’s most beloved sporting venues. From the grand and the great, to the small and the quaint.

The Central core to the website is RANKING the world’s sporting venues into order of ‘greatness’ as nominated by YOU the WORLD.

This ranking process will automatically, over time, also list in order the world’s most revered football, cricket, golf, ice hockey, athletic etc venues.

The nomination process is very simple and takes less than 5 minutes.

To vote on a venue, you must simply give a mark out of 10 for twelve simple criteria which each venue is graded on. Feel free to award half marks if you’re torn between, say a 7 and an 8.

Your marks will then be weighted (since some criteria are more important than others), and added to the marks previously received for that venue, giving a mean overall mark.

For instance, you want to see you local team’s stadium on the list? Send us your marks for it, and we’ll do the rest. You may vote for as many venues as you like.

Please mark as accurately as you can, and withhold bias and emotion. Over time, the top and bottom 10% of results for any nomination will be disregarded. Giving 10s across the board for your hometown football club is unlikely to pass the scrutiny of our panel of experts – who will add their own set of marks to any of yours.
